The Next Generation House by Sou Fujimoto Architects (with obvious similarities to Jenga) is a small weekend house that overlooks the River Kuma in Kumakura, Japan. The 4m cube offers surprising functionality due to the little spaces formed by the square cedar logs - perfect spaces for seating, sleeping, eating and storage. The Next Generation House won 2009 Wallpaper Design Awards - Best Private House.
